Gamespot: Slices n Crushes

Gamespot has gone and done a nice little spot on Fable III and combat. The interview is with their combat honcho Josh Akin and looks at what Fable II did, how they want to improve on that and of course where its all going to go from there.

Grabbing some screecaps if I can, and also going to post the link below. Its a cracking interview and its well worth the look, so go and watch it after the quantum leap...

Enjoy!

Also check out that lovely morph here just on the left, taken from this video. Pretty damn epic!

.....And we're back in the forum

What is there more to say? Go post on the snazzy new forum, and hopefully we will see a lot more fantastic stuff rolling out over the weekend and into the beginning of next week!

Post! and be very very merry!

Are we there yet?

Well we are nearly. The community area of the Lionhead website is almost up and running according to their list of 'how things are going' on the website. The wonderful Madonna inspired boob presenting street-lover that is presenting the forum should not be there much longer, and hopefully replaced by something a whole lot more dashing and suave.

Update: Apart from a small replication issue with our servers we're ready to open up the new website... Sorry for the delays!

Update: The Windows LIVE login has gone through a rigorous test and is still standing strong. Nothing is straightforward though...

Update: We can't believe it; one of the most popular threads on our forum is kaput!

Update: We're missing some files but nothing we can't track down...

That's been their lovely updates. Its still nice to see a gaming studio working hard to let the fans know where things are and how they are going.

OXM Podcast: Lionhead

Peter joined the OXM gang for a big podcast about all things Fable and more. Enjoy the link below and watch it direct or subscribe with iTunes. And he wants Fable cosplayers to come, so get dressed up people!

E3 is not too long away, so lets hope its going to rock with all the new features and people we are hearing about joining the game. We can look forwards to beauty and a whole lot more.

Kingsley's Shacklebolting!

If people out there haven't read the Harry Potter books, Kingsley Shacklebolt is a wizard from the series, and that's where that grand connection lies with this awesome new story. Ben Kingsley, one of THE most awesome actors in Britain is going to be joining the Fable III team!

"How...royal! Actor Sir Ben Kingsley has confirmed that he's part of Lionhead's Fable III cast, joining other Brit celebs in this year's release.

Kingsley told CVG: "I'm a voice in a new video game shortly - Fable III. I'm a wonderful wizard character who is the king of Mist Peak."

Kingsley is getting around games, isn't he. He'll also star in a game movie, this month's Prince of Persia film.

"It's very energising and good for us actors to realise that [acting] is so diverse now," the actor tells CVG. "[Games] are as big a jump now as I suppose when cinema was invented, when people went from the stage to the cinema thinking: It's not really acting, is it? Now, it's video games - and it is acting. It's very demanding."

We'll get to see and hear Ben Kingsley's work when Fable III is shown off during E3 this summer."

So some pretty awesome stuff! King of Mist Peak, seems to be a lot of Kings around. Maybe we have to get our negotiating claws out and speak to a lot of royal old farts and get them rallied against Lucien?

More to come.

The Builders are In...

So the site is finally getting its make over. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come with the future of the site and the game, and hopefully some interaction between the community website and the in-game heroes. I personally can't wait to see what it all looks like when its finished, and I bet you can't either.

Loving their fantastic piece of concept art with the flavour of the old picture from Fable II of 'Get it Here' with that dashing young man holding his sign aloft. Will keep you posted as too what happens and remember if you are in the UK...VOTE, its very very important! Do your bit!

Logan wouldn't have got into power if people had voted! *nudge nudge wink wink*

Fable II Retrospective

With Fable III only a few months away (well, quite a long way but its close enough for me to be this excited) Gamespot have taken a look back at Fable II with Mr Molyneux himself and discussed what he liked, and what he hated about the game series that has caused almost a marmite effect in the gaming industry. (Those of you who are not British probably won't get that...but nevermind)

Looking Back

Video after the jump, enjoy.
